AAPSE members were captured in a variety of events in 1997 including the annual AAPCO meeting in Arlington, Virginia and the National Pesticide Applicator Training Workshop in Columbus, Ohio. To follow are some of the photos from those meetings.

Spring AAPCO Meeting - Arlington, Virginia - March 11-13, 1997

The AAPSE Board of Directors met in Arlington, Virginia as part of the annual spring AAPCO meeting. The meeting took place from March 11-13, 1997 in the Doubletree Hotel in Crystal City. Who are these people?

National PAT Workshop - Columbus, Ohio - June 9-12, 1997

Every two years the US Environmental Protection Agency sponsors a national workshop for pesticide applicator certification and training workers in the US and Canada. In 1997, the Ohio State University and the North Central Extension Region hosted the event at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The program offered tours of agricultural extension and research sites in Ohio as well as three days of educational presentations, association meetings, and program development workshops. Photographs from some of those events follow.

Nelson Weaver's Farm

Nelson Weaver's Farm where the group observed IPM practices and Nelson's vegetable operation. Nelson has 13 children and supports four families with his operation.

The Boontown Spray Shop in Fredericksburg, Ohio. Owned by Ervin Yoder, the business makes horse-drawn field and orchard sprayers.
